WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation as the whole inspired and infallible word of GOD. We believe the King James Version of the Bible is the preserved Word of GOD without error as well as the Hebrew and Greek Text from which it is translated and is the sole and final authority for faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Revelations 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
1 Peter 1:23-25 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away: 25 But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Psalms 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations
Psalms 117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise ye the LORD.
WE BELIEVE in Trinity of GOD, exists eternally as Three Persons in one (each is equal): GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON, and GOD the HOLY SPIRIT
John 14:16, 26; 15:26; Ephesians 2:18; Colossians 2:2; I Thessalonians 3:11; Hebrews 9:14; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit
WE BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST was born of a Virgin, and is the SON of GOD, GOD the SON.
The Virgin Birth
Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
The Son of God
1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.
God the Son
Philippians 2:6-9 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
WE BELIEVE that CHRIST died for our sins according to the Scripture, the just for the unjust, that HE might bring us to GOD.
Romans 5:6-10 ; 1 John 4:10)
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
WE BELIEVE that CHRIST rose from the grave the third day according to the Scriptures.
Romans 10:9, Luke 24:39, Mark 16:1-18)
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
WE BELIEVE that CHRIST only, is the great HIGH PRIEST, and that HE makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
WE BELIEVE that in order to be saved the soul must be born again.
John 3:3-8 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind blows where it lists, and thou hears the sound thereof, but can not tell when it comes, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
1 John 5:1 Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves him that begot loves him also that is begotten of him.
WE BELIEVE that salvation is by faith alone in JESUS CHRIST and HIS shed blood, HIS death, burial and resurrection for our sins and not by works or deeds.
(Galatians. 2:16; Titus 3:5; Galatians 1:8-9; John 14:6)
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
WE BELIEVE that making JESUS the LORD of your life is important, but can only occur after you have trusted CHRIST as your SAVIOR. JESUS will not be LORD of your life until HE is SAVIOR of your life. (John 3:15, 16, 18, 36; 5:24; 6:40, 46)
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
WE BELIEVE that CHRIST keeps those who are truly born again. It is impossible to lose your salvation.
(Ephesians 4:30 ; I John 5:13 ; Jude 24)
2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
WE BELIEVE that baptism (immersion in water) set forth the LORD'S death, burial, and resurrection; showing what has taken place on the inside. Also it is a perquisite for church membership.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
WE BELIEVE Christ Himself instituted the Lord’s Supper while observing the Passover to teach Christians to partake of bread and wine with the purpose of remembering Christ, receiving strength from Him, and rededicating themselves to His cause. It is one of two ordinances instituted by Christ to be observed by His church until He returns.
Matthew 26:19-21 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. 20 Now when the evening was come, he sat down with the twelve. 21 And as they did eat
Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
Exodus 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exodus 29:40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
We Believe that the church’s only support is through tithes and offerings. Paying our tithe was a practice of giving a tenth of one’s income plus an offering to God. It was given to individuals to do long before the Law was given.
Genesis 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purpose in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
